About Leather Pumps
Plain guides about pump shoes and their labels.
What we do
We publish general guides about women's pump shoes: what the FTC Leather Guides say about the word leather, leather-look materials, style names, size charts, care labels, and claims on shoes.
What we do not do
Leather Pumps is the name of this site, not a store and not a claim about any product. We do not sell shoes or care products. We do not say any shoe is leather. We do not publish prices, deals, reviews, ratings, rankings, product picks, or fit, comfort, foot-health, or environmental claims. We do not test or rate products. Commissions do not change our guidance. We do not accept payment to recommend a retailer, brand, or product.
How we keep it accurate
Facts come from the Federal Trade Commission's Guides for Select Leather and Imitation Leather Products (16 CFR Part 24) and its Green Guides (16 CFR Part 260), as published in the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (eCFR), each linked on the page that uses it. Plain notes in our own words, such as checking the maker's label, chart, and return policy, are ours, not the FTC's. The FTC does not endorse this site or any product.
Who runs the site
