Caring for pumps: the maker's instructions first
Care steps come from the maker and the care product label, not from us.

Start with the maker
Follow the maker's care instructions for the shoe. They are written for its materials and finishes.
Care product labels
Follow the label on any care product, and test it as its label directs.
Cleaning claims
Part 24 says it is "unfair or deceptive to misrepresent" the "ease of cleaning" of an industry product, among other aspects. A care claim on a shoe is the maker's.
Stretching and breaking in
We do not give stretching or breaking in steps. Ask the maker or a shoe repair professional. If you have foot pain, talk to your doctor or a podiatrist.
What we do not do
We do not name or compare care products.
This is general information, not legal or medical advice.

FAQ
General information only, not medical advice. Material labels are the maker's: check the label for each part of the shoe. Fit varies by maker and by person, so check the maker's size chart and the return policy. If you have foot pain or a foot or health condition, talk to your doctor or a podiatrist.
