The term

Slingback is a generic style name that makers and retailers use. We do not define it. The maker's listing and photos show a given shoe.

Materials

For footwear, the Guides treat three parts separately: "the upper, the lining and sock, and the outersole." Read the label for each part.

Fit

Makers' size charts vary; check the maker's chart and return policy. We do not say any strap style fits better.

What we do not do

We do not name designers, signature styles, or look-alikes.

This is general information, not legal or medical advice.
